Eid Al-Adha
Eid al-Adha is the second and the bigger of the two main holidays celebrated in Islam. It is celebrated as a commemoration of Prophet Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice everything for God. The crew onboard celebrated by decorating the crew and leading hand mess with little decorations and savored meals provided by our chef. The food was laid out like dastarkhan meals and desert kheer Savaii was hit with all the crew.
Housie Night
Popular night with all crew, winners takes it all. An evening with crew actively participating as more the numbers the bigger the prize winners, Prizes to be won were Juldie 5, three lines , 2 full house. Minimum 2000 inr guaranteed in prizes. The following department individuals were winners.- hotel utility, galley, SHOREX.
Neon Crew Party
A neon party is a vividly colourful party theme where neon colors, decorations and outfits are used, which illuminate brightly under UV black lights, creating an eye catching spectacle for the party guests. A neon party can also be referred to as a glow in the dark party. Much awaited by the crew, the evening buzzing with Joey and his band performing at the connections followed by the inhouse DJ Clayton and DJ Malcom. Special performance by Maxwell with Trumpet made the crew dance like there was no tomorrow. Company sponsored drinks were provided on coupons. The party was themed with neon lights around the room and crew were asked to wear white as part of the theme, the connections was transformed into the glowing night.
Poker and Roulette Tournaments
Poker is a family of comparing card games in which players wager over which hand is best according to that specific game’s rules in ways similar to these rankings. The talented crew tried their luck at poker organised tournament. Roulette is a casino game named after the French word meaning little wheel which was likely developed from the Italian game Biribi. Good participation of crew and some individuals were champion in the making.
Karaoke Nights
social event organised by the crew club in the Theka, were all the legends of Bollywood, retro, 80’s,90’s songs were resurfaced by all talented singer’s on board Empress. Musicians from the Entertainment gave a helping hand in encouraging all our crew who trying there talent first time on mic. An overall good performance. Followed by some music by our own crew DJ Denzel. Finished the evening with some melodies tracks.
Man Overbaord Drill
Highlight of this month first time safety drill for man overboard right in the middle of the sea, where crew members witness the launching of the lifeboat and rescue operations right in the middle of the crossing between Vishakhapatnam and Chennai. Many crew members who are new to the Ship could see the operations in live action.
Deep house Evening
Another party evening with Inhouse DJ joined by Residnace DJ’s perfoming for the crew in ‘Theka bar ‘ A lively atomsphere which gained momentum a little after midnight as crew finished their work, Retro, Trance and EDM were part of the music provided, Special thanks to Production team to help in setting up of the systems for us.
