Safe Working Practices

All the above stated (drills and training, AVO, Near Miss and SSEPC Committee Meeting) are part of a system to ensure that everybody can live and work safely on board. Further to this, everybody must ensure that before starting any work he/she:

• is fit for duty,
• familiar and aware of any hazards that might arise from the specific task;
• familiar and aware of the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
• understand the usage limitations of all tools and operate them accordingly (defective tools must be reported to the Supervisor prior storing them back);
• Verify the operating condition and means of protection of any tools and machinery.
