Steps to help protect yourself, your colleagues, and guests

Please adhere to the new Physical Distancing (2m) guidelines which will be communicated to you via posters and through departmental meetings. And if you are wondering, these meetings will also be conducted in a way that allows for physical distancing.

The wearing of masks will be based on your role and duties.

Cover your mouth and nose with mask and make sure there are no gaps between your face and the mask.

Avoid touching the mask while using it; if you do, clean your hands with alcohol-based hand rub or wash thoroughly with hot water and soap.

Replace the mask with a new one as soon as it is damp and do not re-use single-use masks.

Gloves and other PPE will be become part of your uniform based on your role and duties. Your supervisors will communicate with you the requirements, please ensure that you are familiar with these requirements and always follow them.

The need for frequent and thorough handwashing,  hasn’t changed. Mandatory handwashing, as before is expected when entering the Mess areas, when returning to your work station, after using the restroom to name but a few. You will notice that hand sanitizer dispensers are placed throughout the Crew corridors, elevator lobbies and at the entrances of common areas that do not have hand wash sinks, please use them.

Our strict and efficient procedures for cleaning and sanitation have been further modified to all but eliminate the chances of illness spread among Guests and Crew. Everyone, regardless of their position, has a role to play in maintaining the ship clean and sanitized. Your supervisor will further explain what is required from you, both at work and in your cabin.

Understanding Cohorts and Bubbles – How to Use Them

During your stay onboard you will be assigned a specific group/cohort or bubble based on your task/job or work to be done onboard.

You should remain in the proximity of your assigned Bubble group during your working time as well during meals times.

The purpose of creating Bubble groups is to help prevent the potential spread of COVID-19 illness throughout the onboard population as it limits close contact with other groups/cohorts or bubbles.

In certain situations you may be required to remain inside your cabin when you are  not working or dining eg Dry and Wet Docks

By working and living in Bubbles will enable the Medical Team to identify via contact tracing the persons who have been in close contact in the past 24 to 72 hours.
