On Board Complaints Procedure

Every crewmember has the right to lodge a complaint (i.e., a labor grievance) and to have that complaint investigated, provided it is specific in nature and is alleged to constitute a breach of seafarers’ rights under the Maritime Labor Convention. Every crewmember with a complaint shall have the ability to have the matter addressed by bringing it to the attention of the proper authority on board, as outlined: Superior Officer; Head of Department; HR Manager, Master. The detailed complaint procedure will be provided during your sign on process and is posted on board.
